Meet the VetsBarrieBarrie has been practicing for over 40 years. He was a partner in his first practice in Scotland, working with cattle, horses, pigs and dogs and cats; gaining a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction. He took 'early retirement' to England and has been associated with this practice for the last 8 years. Barrie's favourite dog is the Flat coat Retriever. JulieJulie has been working with companion animals for at least 20 years. She has been with us for the last 5 years. DavidDavid has filled his 25 years in practice with partnerships in Wales farming community and then in London where he gained his Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics. Later he went on to manage a dedicated emergency hospital. During all this he has been involved in Big Cat rescue and rehabilitation. David became associated with the practice in 2007. David's main interest is well cooked food. He has several dogs and cats. Veterinary NursesBevBev moved from retail to nursing in 1998. In 2004 she completed her Veterinary Nurse qualifications. As well as heading the nursing team; and a neonate fosterer, Bev ensures smooth running of pet insurance claims. She continues her retail skills in medicine and stock management. Bev has a cat, a dog and an electrician. HelenHelen joined the Practice in 1989, having trained as Veterinary Nurse at a Practice in Shrewsbury. Besides nursing, Helen keeps control of outstanding accounts. She has had two career breaks for her two daughters; she now works part-time for the Practice and full-time at home. Her husband runs a dairy farm. Reception and animal nursing staffSueSue is our Head Receptionist. On top of running reception, Sue maintains the PETS passport Scheme, liaises with DEFRA and tracks laboratory reports. Sue initially trained as an animal technician before moving to an Exotic and Orthopaedic referral practice in Harrogate. In 2000, Sue joined our Practice bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. In her spare time she runs off to France with her husband to work on their mill. They have two cats, Fat Kevin and Colin. JanetJanet started work at a vets, tried dentistry, but quickly came back to veterinary practice. She joined our Practice in 1993, leaving once to have her two boys. As well as raising her lads, she has a dog, cat and fish. DianaDiana works part-time in reception. Her spare time is spent worrying about her two daughters, her dog and her garden; and participating with the Nantwich Players. Her earlier career was as a midwife! TanyaTanya joined us in 2004 from a local pharmacist. She has also worked as a hospital healthcare assistant. Tanya completed her Animal Nurse Assistant certificate in 2008. She is also on the RSPCA neonatal fostering list. Along with her family, Tanya has four dogs; one of which she shows successfully. CarlyCarly joined us in 2007 from working at a solicitors. She has enrolled to train as a Veterinary Nurse. She has a dog and a cat. ElizabethElizabeth joined us in 2007 from gaining her university degree. She has enrolled to train as a Veterinary Nurse. She has two beautiful cats and a rabbit.
